OXFORD — Maddie Sastram and Rose Reitmeyer, a pair of Oxford softball players, were named to the All-NVL all-star team this season.

Sastram, a standout athlete in three sports, was a fine infielder for the Wildcats and a consistent hitter.

She started the season with a game against WCA where she collected two doubles and another hit.

She hit a home run in a win over non-league foe Wamogo and had many multi-hit games for the Wolverines.

Reitmeyer was the premier power hitter on the Oxford team. She hit home runs against Watertown, St. Paul, Seymour (twice), Derby, Wolcott and Wilby.

Seymour’s Morgan Teodosio and Alyssa Johnson were two more league players who made the All-NVL first team.

Sophie Gendron of Oxford made the All-Copper Division team.

She served as the main pitcher for the Wolverines and was the winning pitcher against Watertown, WCA, Ansonia, Crosby, Derby (twice), Holy Cross, Sacred Heart, Wamogo, Wolcott, Torrington and Wilby.

Seymour had two girls, Erin Lifrieri and Kiley Regan, named to the All-Copper Division team.
