OXFORD — A pair of Oxford girls’ basketball players were recently selected to the Naugatuck Valley League All-Star teams by league coaches.

On the first team was guard Mikayla Walton who scored 20 points or more in eight games and had one game with 37. She led her team in three-pointers with 24.

Among other players on the first team were Krystal Fernandez of Ansonia, who was chosen as the outstanding senior. Seymour standouts, Kenzie Sirowich and Morgan Teodosio, were also picked for the first squad.

Senior forward Paige Davis, who was Oxford’s top inside player, was chosen for the All-Copper Division team, along with Kiley Drezek and Alyssa Johnson of Seymour and Ansonia’s Jada Sanchez.

Davis, a strong rebounder, averaged 11.4 points per game, with a high of 23.
