The Pomperaug Red Team, which took part in the 43rd Needham Memorial Day Invitational soccer tournament, went undefeated and became the champions of the Boys U14 Invitational USS Constitution Group. The tournament, which took place from Friday, May 24 to Monday, May 27, is one of the longest running and most diverse in the northeast and featured teams from the eastern United States, Canada and England.

The team consisted of (back row) Travis Falk, Jake Sieling, Riley O’Brien, Ben Holland, Adam Zarif, Matt DePalma and Matt Clarke as well as (front row) Henry Reichenbach, Ryan Ordway, Chris DePalma, Zack Farren, Michael Zarif, Mitch Giancarli and Marshall Melita. The boys were coached by Tim Holland, Jason Falk, Mark DePalma, Carlos Almeida and Mamadee Kamara.
