OXFORD — Watertown and Seymour each defeated the Oxford girls’ soccer team last week, but the Wolverines picked up one point when they play to a 2-2 tie with Ansonia.

In the contest with Ansonia, Oxford had one goal from high-scoring Kate Wickenheisser and another from Julianna Brimecombe. Wickenheisser and Morgan Brimecombe each had an assist. Maya Mussell made 10 saves.

Zoe Frager and Haylee Johnson each scored for the 3-3-1 Chargers.

Watertown received a pair of goals from Besiana Dauti and Kristina Kyle as to shut out Oxford by a score of 5-0. Mussell made 21 saves for the losers.

Katherine Bruno scored a hat trick as Seymour posted a 4-1 victory late in the week. Seymour leveled its record at 5-5.

Oxford fell to 3-5-2 in the game. The Wolverines’ lone goal was scored by Wickenheisser, her 16th of the season.
