OXFORD — Five different players scored at least one goal in the three games played by the Oxford boys’ soccer team last week. The Wolverines won two out of three.
Watertown handed the Wolverines their first loss of the season, 3-2. The losers received two goals from Mergim Morina. Noah Kondic made nine saves.
Shaking off the loss, Oxford rebounded to top Crosby 6-2. William Speer had three goals to lead the victors. Aristotle York and Mason Pale each had one goal and one assist for the winners, and Syed Messim also contributed a goal.
Improving their record to 6-1-1 for the year, the Wolverines defeated Naugatuck, 2-1. The Greyhounds fell to 6-2-1.
Oxford had goals from Pale and Messim, while Matt Dima and Ryan King each had an assist.
Kondic made 11 saves to preserve the victory.
