BETHLEHEM-WOODBURY — The Nonnewaug volleyball team claimed another Berkshire League title last week by defeating Terryville 3-0. The Chiefs swept through their league schedule undefeated with an 8-0 record to successfully defend their championship title. Their overall record is 12-2 and they now await the pairings in the Class M state tournament.

Nonnewaug is currently ranked third and may receive a bye in the first round.

In the Terryville match, the set scores were 25-9, 25-11, 25-13. Abby Scheurich led the team with seven aces, nine kills and seven digs. Tori O’bar added seven digs and two aces, while Sam Ponte dished out 21 assists, seven aces, two digs and two kills.
