BETHLEHEM-WOODBURY — Nonnewaug opened the girls’ tennis season last Saturday with a whitewash, 7-0, of Northwestern.

The first singles match was an easy 6-0, 6-0 win for Alexa Burke as she beat Ali Keplinger. 

Stephanie DiSarro won just as easily in number-two singles, beating Meghan Spielman, 6-0, 6-0.

Emma Primini won 6-3, 6-0 in the third match, and Mallory Tomkalski finished the sweep by winning 6-1, 6-1 in match four.

The Chiefs did not have any trouble in the doubles matches either. 

Marley Baker teamed with Sofia Pagnamenta for a 6-0, 6-0 shutout at number-one.

Second doubles was a 6-3, 6-0 win by Kate Greene and Yasmene Tyles, and Eva Dos Santos and Kate Pagnamenta finished the day with a 6-4, 7-6 victory in the final match.
