BETHLEHEM-WOODBURY — The Litchfield boys’ golf team won its 34th straight Berkshire League golf match, topping Nonnewaug, 171-201, in a match last week at Litchfield Country Club.

Spencer White was medalist for the Cowboys with a three over par score of 39, while Ben Muecke was close behind with 40. 

Other scorers were Tom Vaillionis at 46 and Haydn Marriott with a 46.

The Chiefs best score was 43 by Mac Starziski. Nick Mancini had a 56, Dan Coyle carded a 54 and Jonathan Eschmann came in with a 48.

In another match, Shepaug won 188-210 over Nonnewaug on the Lake Waramaug Country Club course in New Preston. Shepaug improved to 2-0.

Gavin Giroux was the medalist with a 41, while the other Spartan scores were Peyton Thomas and Miles Wilson with 48s and Emmet Tredennick with a 51.

Nonnewaug received a 49 from Mancini, 53 from both Eschmann and Evan Jones, and a 55 by Starziski.

The Chiefs are 0-2 for the young season.
