To the Editor:

The veterans of Southbury would like to thank the community for their generous donations to the Wreaths Across America program.

The Lt Col. Edward Hine American Legion Post 147 is again sponsoring Wreaths Across America. Last year all veterans’ graves in Southbury received a wreath. This year we will again place a wreath on each veteran’s grave. There are now 560 veterans buried here in Southbury.

If you would like to sponsor a wreath for a loved one not here in Southbury, you can go to the Wreaths Across America website at www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/CT0096P. There are over 1,800 cemeteries taking part in the program nation wide.

If you would like to support Wreaths Across America here in Southbury, you can donate to the American Legion Post 147. Please make checks to American Legion Post 147 and mail to: American Legion Post 147, P.O. Box 706 Southbury 06488,

Again, the veterans of Southbury would like to thank you for your generous donations, support of Wreaths Across America and all veterans.
