To the Editor:

VFW Post 1607 hosted a very successful Oktoberfest Celebration on Saturday October 26 at its Post Hall located on Lee Farm Drive in Southbury. This annual event is one of our important annual fundraisers. Being a nonprofit, we raise money via donations to offset our operating expenses plus to support our annual youth scholarship programs.

The following businesses and individuals contributed gifts, beverages, time or food to this great cause and we VFW members extend our gratitude.

Individuals: Barbara Manville, Mark Bialobreski, Grete and Thomas Sherk, Shanna and George Bertram, David and Lori Pittari, the Mallon family, Larry Williams.

Local businesses: HomeTown Pizza, Parsell’s, Patty’s Pantry, Miranda’s, Burgers & Burritos, Corrigan Motors, Heads Up Beauty Salon, Mikee’s Place, Middlebury Wine and Spirits, Discount Liquors of Woodbury, Woodbury Brewing Company, New Morning Market.

Many, many thanks!

If you own a local business and would like to support our efforts, please contact Tom at 203-264-3995 and leave a message.
