To the Editor:

Southbury Selectman Mike Rosen has taken to the pages of Voices to endorse fellow Democrat John Diehl for first selectman. This endorsement reeks of partisan politics. Why would Mike Rosen abandon first selectman Jeff Manville after all that Manville has done for him and his agenda?

Who answered Mike Rosen’s challenge to involve Southbury in national politics by condemning the capital protests while voting against his own Republican Party’s efforts to condemn all types of violence? Jeff Manville.

Who spear-headed the formation of Mike Rosen’s Southbury Equity and Inclusion Task Force? Jeff Manville.

Who voted with Mike Rosen and against his own Republican Party in Mike Rosen’s fight to keep the mission of that task force as one of equity instead of “equality?”

You guessed it. Jeff Manville.

The simple truth is that no Republican has ever done more in furtherance of the Democratic agenda here in Southbury than Jeff Manville. I urge all Democrats in Southbury to join me in voting for Jeff Manville on November 2.
