To the Editor:

Woodbury First Selectman Barbara Perkinson needs to be re-elected to the position she has held for the past four years, and the town of Woodbury needs to have her remain in that position for another two-year term.

The past two years have been very difficult for everyone. We have dealt with the consequences of the pandemic: the need for health and safety measures, the constant and changing rules and regulations, the financial strain, especially on the business community, concern for the welfare of our children, both physically and educationally, and the list goes on.

Through it all, Barbara Perkinson has been there. She has the advantage of many years of serving as a volunteer on a number of boards and commissions, which gives her vast experience in the processes involved in the functioning of town government.

Barbara is kept busy 24/7, keeping up with the latest reports and decisions from area and state officials to keep abreast of recent developments, She makes herself available as much as possible to any town residents who wish to tell her of their concerns, complaints or problems.

She tries to respond quickly if she can. Some people are surprised when they call and she, rather than someone else, answers the phone to speak with them,

Why would you want to replace her, with her vast experience, work ethic and commitment to all the residents of Woodbury?

Please vote for Barbara Perkinson at the Republican primary on Tuesday, September 14. You won’t be sorry.
