To the Editor:

It has been my honor and privilege this last month to work as campaign manager for Lisa Amatruda in the upcoming Woodbury Republican Primary on September 14 for first selectman.

Lisa’s resume is beyond outstanding. Air Force veteran, business owner, volunteer and mom. She has all the qualifications to provide leadership as first selectman. Her slogan is simple “Freedom to Choose.”

I am a retired Connecticut State Police lieutenant and was Resident State Police sergeant for Woodbury for several years. I can recognize leadership and integrity in a person and Lisa hits the nail on the head. I was overjoyed to learn that she chose to run in the primary because I know she stands for our freedoms and our rights.

She is against government mandates and believes in the rule of law and not executive edicts that have torn our nation apart.

As her campaign manager, I have met so many patriotic and freedom loving citizens who are excited about this campaign. I tried to arrange a debate with Lisa’s opponent, but they did not accept. We also wanted to highlight how Lisa holds our freedoms and rights as sacred and has watched in disgust this last year as government at all levels has ripped them away from us in the name of protecting us.

Please join me and fellow freedom loving Republicans of Woodbury by voting for Lisa Amatruda for first selectman on September 14.
