Veterans were greeted Saturday morning, February 22, by fire trucks in their driveways carrying Woodbury Brownies delivering Girl Scout cookies as a thank-you for military service. Escorted by 14 Woodbury firefighters, 16 Brownies from Troop 64034 made the rounds on four fire trucks, then came back to Fire Department Headquarters on Quassuk Road to enjoy a pizza lunch. “It was a community effort, and we were happy to participate,” said Fire Chief Janet B. Morgan. “It was a great opportunity to put together Brownies and veterans.”

Among the recipients was Veteran Dave Sandulli, pictured with Brownies Samantha Savulak (left), Maddy Taylor and Addie Cetrone and mom Amy Belval. Troop 64034 was formed three years ago and this was the second year in a row for the girls to ride in fire trucks delivering the gifts to veterans.
