WOODBURY — Fire Marshal and Chief Janet Morgan spoke with Voices on Friday, June 14 about the fire that occurred in sometime before 8:20 p.m. Thursday, June 13, at Woodlake Condominiums. Ms. Morgan said the fire occurred in Unit 9 on Summit Court. She said there were no injuries to either persons in the condominium or first responders, and she said the Woodbury Volunteer Fire Department had the blaze under control by approximately 11 p.m.

She thanked the Roxbury, Southbury and Bethlehem and Fire Departments for responding for mutual aid.

“Everybody did their jobs, nobody got injured. That’s the important thing,” Ms. Morgan said.

“The homeowners did a really good job looking out for each other,” she added.

She said the cause of the fire was still under investigation at press time.
