The framework of the new building being constructed as part of the Agriscience STEM Academy at Shepaug Valley School in Washington rises from beyond the campus pond in this photo taken just prior to the academy opening for its inaugural 2019-20 academic year. When completed, the structure will house the academy’s equine and large animal facility with the land immediately adjacent to be converted to pasture and turnout areas. The existing baseball, field hockey and soccer fields will remain.

Renovations and additions to the existing school building include a new greenhouse, ag mechanics facility and specialized science labs for veterinary science, technology, food science and plant science. (O’Brien photo)
