Linda Ann Richter

OXFORD — Linda Ann Richter, a 78-year-old Oxford resident and loving wife of 59 years to William A. Richter, Sr., passed away at Benchmark Senior Living in Shelton on Monday, August 26, 2019.

Linda was born February 16, 1941, in Derby, the daughter of the late Henry and Katherine Bariluk Rader. She graduated from Seymour High School, Class of ‘58 and attended the Waterbury Hospital School of Nursing. She worked for CVS in Ansonia and Klarides Market in Seymour.

Linda was a longtime member of the Seymour Methodist Church. She was an enthusiast for tag sales and loved to quilt.

In addition to her husband, she leaves to cherish her memory her son, William A. Richter, Jr., and his wife, Lynn, of Oxford; her daughters, Kathie Matthews and her husband, Gary, of Seymour and Linda Polke and her husband, Dr. David Polke, of Southbury; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Linda will be buried privately in the family plot in Pine Grove Cemetery in Ansonia. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are by Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, Ansonia.

The family would like to thank, and in lieu of flowers donations given to, Benchmark Senior Living at Split Rock, 708 Bridgeport Ave., Shelton 06484. The family will never forget the professional and loving care they gave to Linda.
