Lidia (Capuano) Anello

WATERTOWN — Lidia (Capuano) Anello, daughter of the late Gaetano and Maria Felice Capuano, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 10, 2020 at the age of 82, where she was last living in Watertown.

In addition to her parents, Lidia was preceded in death by her loving husband, Pietro Anello, and her brother, Giuseppe, and his wife, Blandina Capuano.

Lidia is survived by her three children, her sons, Gianpietro Anello and wife, Elisa, and Fabio Anello and his wife, Jolene, and her daughter, Simona and her husband, Brian Milks.

She is also survived by her sister, Esther and her husband, Martino Soldi; her brother, Antonio and his wife, Maria Capuano, and her sister, Filomena and her husband, Nicola DePalo.

She is also survived by seven grandchildren, John Anello, Lydia Rojas, Gabrielle Anello, Katia Anello, Christopher Milks, Matthew Milks and Timothy Milks; and three great-grandchildren, Jeremiah Rojas, Sophia Rojas and Enzo Anello.

Lidia was born January 8, 1938, in Cervinara (Avellino), Italy, near Naples. In 1977 she moved to Middlebury, where she resided until her last several years, where she was cared for and loved by the staff at Apple Rehab Center in Watertown.

She will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her hospitality, her joy and passion for gardening and cooking, and going to the beach.

She loved to attend church and put her trust and faith in her savior, Jesus Christ.

A private burial took place Tuesday, May 12, at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Watertown. Arrangements were by O’Neill Funeral Home. A memorial service will take place in the near future to honor and celebrate her life.
