Jacquelyne Lope

SOUTHBURY — It is with deep sorrow that her family announces the death of Jacquelyne Lope, who passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, July 21, 2020, after a short illness.

Having been a resident of Heritage Village since 1983, Jackie was involved in many volunteer programs. These include being a Village volunteer ambulance driver, volunteer Meals on Wheels delivery driver and condo cluster captain for many years. She also participated in many Heritage Village activities, especially “Pool 4,” movies and concerts.

Her motto was always “When the going gets tough, the tough get going,” words she truly lived by until the very end.

She is survived by her loving children, daughter Andrea (Lope) Achelis and her husband, Dave, sons William Lope, Peter Lope and his wife, Joan, and Roger Lope. She also leaves behind her much adored grandchildren, Conrad Lope and his fiancee, Chrissy, Kim Lope Jones and her wife, Katie, Kelly Lope and Jillian Lope.

The family would especially like to thank all her wonderful friends who brought so much joy, laughter and support into her life.

They are hoping to set up a memorial soon but are unable to make any commitment on the date due to the coronavirus.
