Edith B. Ericson

OAKVILLE — Edith B. Ericson, 83, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2022. She was the widow of James Ericson.

Edith was born on June 12, 1939, in Waterbury, to the late Edwin and Leota (Wigglesworth) Barton. She was a graduate of Watertown High School and a life-long resident of Oakville.

She retired from Litchfield Partners after 25 years. She was a fan of the New York Yankees and UConn women’s basketball.

Edith is survived by her three children, Richard (Hollie) Ericson of Middlebury, Judy (David) White of Watertown and Mark (Beth Ann) Ericson of Gurnee, Ill.; her stepson, Edward Ericson of Chippewa Lake, Ohio; her sister, Elizabeth (Barton) Thompson of Bethlehem, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Edith was predeceased by her two brothers, George and John Barton, and a sister Mary (Barton) Judson.

A graveside service took place Saturday, July 30, in Evergreen Cemetery, 183 North St., Watertown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Harold Leever Cancer Center, 1075 Chase Pkwy., Waterbury 06708.
