COATESVILLE, Pa. — David Andrew DeLuca died on August 20, 2021 in Coatesville, Pa.

David was born on September 29, 1969, in Waterbury. He attended Middlebury public schools and studied at Naugatuck Community College.

David worked as a supervisor at John Deere and at Martin Landscaping and Horticultural Services where he applied his love of the outdoors through his vast knowledge of horticulture and landscape design. He got his of love of landscaping from his parents.

His perfect day was spent with his daughters, gardening and puttering among his flower and vegetable gardens, skills he learned from his mother and grandparents. David was an avid reader and especially loved anything about World War II and history in general.

He loved anything to do with Saturday morning cartoons, Monty Python, a sip or two of good bourbon and playing a game of D&D or poker with friends. His tremendous wit and sarcasm kept his family and friends laughing and groaning at the same time.

David was a loving father, son, brother and friend to many. He would give you the shirt off his back and wore his heart on his sleeve.

David leaves behind his daughter, Natalie DeLuca; his stepdaughter, Kaitlyn Voity; parents, Russell and Ann DeLuca; sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Stephen Stramiello, and many friends and family, including Stephanie Veillette DeLuca.

Funeral services will be private and at the discretion of the immediate family. Those wishing to remember David may want to plant a tree in his honor, donate to a local animal shelter or food bank, all causes near and dear to his heart.

Belated but still sincere condolences to Dave's family. He was a good man and a great friend. He is missed.
