OXFORD — Brett David Anderson, age 39, a lifelong resident of Oxford, entered peaceful rest on Friday, November 22, 2019 in his home. Born in Danbury on September 22, 1980, he was the beloved son of Glen and Marlene (Roller) Anderson of Oxford.
Brett was a cheerful person when in the company of others, always trying to make them smile with his “goofy” humor. He had a passion for roofing and siding which began at the young age of 13. Brett graduated from Seymour High School in 1998 and went on to open his own business, Above the Rest Roofing and Siding.
Despite a family rivalry, Brett was a diehard Denver Broncos fan and enjoyed frequent sports banter with his parents. He had many hobbies, including collecting comic books and baseball cards, and will be remembered for his love of animals, especially Quincy, Buddy and Butterscotch.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his loving sister, Kimberly Anderson of Marlborough; his brother-in-law, Michael Makowski; his two adored nephews, Mason and Kannon, as well as his paternal grandmother, Shirley Anderson, and maternal grandmother, Ginny Hancock.
The Ralph Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church St., Seymour, has been entrusted with his arrangements.
A Celebration of Brett’s Life will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, December 14, at his home. Friends and family are welcome.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Please love your children like there’s no tomorrow. “Nite Brett!”
