WOODBURY — The Woodbury Republican Town Committee unanimously passed a resolution supporting local control of zoning while opposing state-mandated affordable housing legislation.

Chair David Schultz emphasized that, while there is a strong commitment to provide affordable housing throughout the state’s 169 communities, public testimony consistently opposed legislation.

“Eliminating public hearings and community input on zoning matters,” he said.

A press release from the RTC said, “We look forward to hearing the interests and concerns of our neighbors, friends and community members and are committed to creating a forum for those who are willing to listen and learn from each other.”
