WOODBURY — The Board of Selectmen has announced the formation of an ad hoc committee that will determine how Woodbury should use the received federal funds from the American Rescue Plan Act.
Volunteers for this committee will review and recommend to the selectmen potential uses for the money after conducting a needs assessment before dispersing or allocating the funds.
The intent of the ARPA funding is to address the negative impact on town operations, as well as businesses, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The committee will need to review the requirements of the Department of Treasury act for the distribution of the funds, as well as conducting a needs assessment to determine the authorized use of the money. There are federal guidelines that will be required to be met before any expenditures can be made.
This committee will include one member of town government. The committee will consist of six members.
