SOUTHBURY-WOODBURY — Volunteers for the Southbury-Woodbury Giving Circle of Regional Hospice and Palliative Care will host the annual fundraising luncheon at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 17, at the Waterview, 215 Roosevelt Dr., Monore The Harvest Luncheon will also celebrate the chapter’s 25th anniversary and begin with an appetizer buffet including hot and cold hors d’oeuvres.

Those attending may sample a sip of wine at a wine-tasting table, shop for items including handmade chocolates, jewelry and boutique items from several vendors.

Raffle tickets also will be available for purchase for prizes that have been donated by local businesses and individuals.

At noon, a three-course lunch will be served at tables set in the decorated ballroom that overlooks Lake Zoar and the changing leaves of autumn.

Annually, RHPC subsidizes $1.5 million of care for hospice patients using donor dollars raised at events like these.

These donations offset the costs for families with dying children facing unmet deductibles, equipment needs that are denied by insurance and room and board subsidies.

The Southbury-Woodbury Chapter is proud to be a part of Regional Hospice and Palliative Care’s expansion to become the only hospice provider in the northeast to have a purpose-built, in-patient pediatric wing.

Special considerations for the expansion include a devoted entrance for the four new pediatric suites to ensure parents and loved ones have private access, suite ceilings with star ceiling panels that offer an illuminated nighttime view, a dedicated kitchen for family use, and an in-suite overnight Tempur-Pedic comfort sleeper for family.

Tickets for the luncheon are $35, and a tax-deductible donation to Regional Hospice may be made during lunch.

Community sponsorships for the event are also welcome.

Platinum Sponsorships for $1,000, Gold Sponsorships for $500 and Silver Sponsorships for $250 are available.

Sponsorships are also welcome from businesses and individuals and all will be recognized in the program and in signage at the event.

Tickets for the luncheon must be purchased in advance and are available by contacting Southbury-Woodbury Giving Circle Co-chairs Ellie Crystal 203-262-8889 or Helen Fults 203-264-3246.

Tickets will also be on sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday and Wednesday, September 16 and 18, in the lobby of the Activities Building at Heritage Village or online at https://regionalhospicect.networkforgood.com/events/11340-2019-annual-southbury-woodbury-harvest-luncheon.
