WOODBURY — Personal property declarations are due to the assessor’s office by Friday, November 1.

All individuals owning and operating a business are required to declare furniture, fixtures and equipment for taxation purposes.

Individuals owning horses and ponies are required to file. A $1,000 exemption per horse is granted, if filed by Friday, November 1.

Unregistered motor vehicles, including cars, trucks, motorcycles, trailers, ATV’s and snowmobiles, must be declared.

For those that do not have a form, copies are available at www.woodburyct.org or by calling the assessor’s office for a replacement.

For closed businesses, residents must fill out the affadavit portion of the form stating when the business ceased operations and attach a copy of the dissolution letter received from the state.

Businesses that need an extension or have any questions may call the Assessor’s office at 203-263-2495 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday.
