ROXBURY — The Roxbury Land Trust will host a special summer program for pre-K and kindergarten-aged children titled, Tuesdays Tales and Trails, beginning at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 9, running every Tuesday in July at a different preserve each session.

Each session will cover a different aspect of the land trust starting with the rivers at River Road and moving on to farms, insects and meadows at Gavel Family, Brian E. Tierney and Styron Preserves.

During inclement weather sessions will be at the 6 Mine Hill Rd. offices. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Studies show that being outdoors has all sorts of positive health benefits for adults and children like managing stress, anxiety and depression. In addition, time in nature can increase problem solving, creativity and memory.
