NEWTOWN — The Newtown Senior Center will hold a flu clinic with the RVNA at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 20.

The center is offering both in-person and virtual classes in tai chi, Zumba, yoga, stretching, Pilates and more.

A complete schedule of senior center events is available on the town website at www.newtown-ct.gov.

There will be a Lunch and Learn with Webster Bank at noon Friday, October 8, to discuss elder financial abuse, how fraudsters exploit seniors, popular scams targeting seniors, financial abuse by family caregivers, and resources.

 

Financial Fraud Bingo, a fun way to learn how to avoid banking scams and fraud, will take place at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 12.

Crowe and Associates will present Medicare Annual Enrollment 2022 from 2 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, October 13.

Pop-Up Boutiques will feature the work of Newtown Senior Center Crafters and those who visit can purchase home and patriotic decor, beautiful quilts, floral arrangements, and holiday cheer.

The boutiques will run from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. October 9 and 16, November 13 and December 4.

All proceeds from the sale go directly back to benefit the senior center and programming.
