TORRINGTON — The ARC of Litchfield County is slated to host a Nature is Nurture fundraiser from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, September 25 at LARC’s Tall Timbers facility, 1145 Brandy Hill Rd.

The fundraiser will include a presentation by Alexandra Lowry on Shinrin Yoku, or forest bathing. Ms. Lowry will discuss the benefits of time spend with trees and the effect on human biology and emotional wellness. She is a nature therapy guide.

In addition to the presentation, there will be wines, beer and small plates by Gia Catering and tastings offered by a local distiller, winemaker and brewer. Kevin and the Hammers will perform hits from the 50s to today. There will be a nature-themed silent auction.

Covid safety protocols will be followed.

There is a fee to attend.
