FOLIO Hosts Fundraiser

Friends of the Oxford Library will be selling tickets to their annual fundraiser during the Oxford’s Tree Lighting on December 1. They will also sell tickets during their regular library hours.

OXFORD — During the Oxford Tree Lighting on Friday, December 1, the Friends of the Library in Oxford will serve refreshments and sell tickets to the annual fundraiser in the Oxford Library.

There will be a special story time at 5:30 p.m. December 1 with librarian Robyn Rivero. Tickets will be sold from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and are priced $2 per ticket and 10 for $10.

Tickets can be purchased during the library’s regular hours as well: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday and Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.

More than 50 items will be available to win including Hartford Wolfpack and the Bridgeport Soundtigers, decorated trees, gift baskets, gift certificates and other items donated by local businesses and patrons. Specially featured is a fully decorated tree that was donated by the Oxford Garden Club.

The drawing will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, December 15. The proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit the Oxford Library Building Fund and the FOLIO general fund.
