Dismantling Unconscious Biases Topic of Speaker at Westover School

Dr. Lisa Jenkins will be the featured speaker for the January 2021 Westover School Speaker Series event and present Dismantling Unconscious Biases: Past, Present and Future from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 21.

MIDDLEBURY —Dr. Lisa Jenkins will be the featured speaker for the January 2021 Westover School Speaker Series event and present Dismantling Unconscious Biases: Past, Present and Future from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 21. Dr. Jenkins is a cultural strategist with more than 25 years of experience that includes the Human Resources divisions of Fortune 100 companies. In the webinar, Dr. Jenkins will discuss how history has shaped the understanding of identities and the identities of others.

She will also look at present conditions that shape culture and awareness, and how people can change the future.

“The beautiful thing about diversity is that when embraced, we will never tire of humanity,” Dr. Jenkins said.

Dr. Jenkins is currently a faculty member, teaching multicultural studies and cultural diversity, for the City University of New York and is known for her engaging and transparent style of communication.
