WATERBURY — The Mattatuck Museum will host a downtown walk for Connecticut Open House day entitled Waterbury Architectural Treasures at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 8. 

Those attending will meet at the museum parking lot on Gaffney Place. 

The walk will explore the history of Waterbury through its buildings and landscapes.

The walk is lead by historian Christina Volpe and will go from Henry Austin’s St. John’s Episcopal Church to Cass Gilbert’s City Hall, viewing elements from Waterbury’s Gilded Age.

Admission is free.
