NEWTOWN — Local professionals are invited to attend the next Northern Fairfield Professionals networking event at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 14, at the Knights of Columbus building at St. Rose of Lima, 46 Church Hill Rd.

Guest speaker Laura Powers will present Emotional Intelligence for Job Seekers: Key Competencies to Help Prevent Self-Sabotage and Enhance Campaign Results.

Laura Powers is president and owner of Powers Career Coaching. For the past 23 years, she has helped highly accomplished executives across diverse industries and career stages to build the clarity, confidence and self-marketing skills needed to make satisfying, successful career moves.

Northern Fairfield Professionals is a networking group focusing on members of the local workforce in transition. The group meets from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month at the Knights of Columbus Hall.

NFP provides local business professionals opportunities for networking with peers, managers, local business owners and professionals.

Attendance to NFP meetings remains free.
