WASHINGTON — The Gunn Historical Museum was due to reopen to the public on Saturday, June 20, allowing visitors to enter the museum by appointment on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Those wishing to visit may call 860-868-7756 or email info@gunnhistoricalmuseum.org to register.

No more than five people can register together as a group, and only one group at a time will be able to enter the museum during one of these blocks: 10 to 11 a.m., 11 a.m. to noon, 1 to 2 p.m., 2 to 3 p.m. or 3 to 4 p.m.

Those who call or email to register will be asked their preferred date and time slot. 

All visitors are required to bring and wear face masks in the museum. 

Hand sanitizer is available.

Although docent-led tours will not be offered at this time, visitors can still access the museum’s audio tour to supplement their experience in the exhibit. 

The audio tour is accessible via QR code or link on a mobile device.
