Bower Receives AIPIA Honor

SOUTHBURY — The American Institute of Personal Injury Attorneys has recognized Personal Injury Attorney Kathy S. Bower as one of the 2021 10 Best Personal Injury Attorneys for Client Satisfaction. AIOPIA publishes an annual list of the top 10 Personal Injury attorneys in each state. Attorneys are selected based on client and/or peer nominations, thorough research and independent evaluation.

Kathy Bower is the managing partner at the Southbury law office of Gager, Bower & Scalzo LLP. She is admitted to practice law in Connecticut, New York and New Jersey and the U.S. Supreme Court. She presently serves as a Special Master in the U.S. District Court and as an Attorney Trial Referee/Arbitrator at the Superior Court.

Ms. Bower is past president of the Southbury Business Association and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Audubon Center at the Bent of the River, Southbury Perpetual Fund and the SUNY Oswego Foundation where she chairs the Governance Committee. She is founder and past chair of the Women’s Giving Circle.

Ms. Bower is also a trustee and executive committee member on the Connecticut Community Foundation Board, where she serves as chair of the Trustees Diversity Equity and Inclusion Committee. She also serves as an advisory board member for Pride in the Hills.

On weekends, she is active with the social justice movement called Justice Southbury. She lives in Southbury with her husband, Rick, and three daughters, Anna, Julia and Grace.
