WOODBURY — The Woodbury Lions Club, First Congregational Church, North Congregational Church and the Mattatuck Unitarian Universalist Society will host the 22nd annual free Thanksgiving dinner from noon to 2 p.m. Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 28, at First Church, 214 Main St. South.

“This is all about fellowship,” said Skip Jarett, event coordinator. “No one should be alone on a holiday. But if you need a meal, you’re welcome to join us. No one will be turned away.”

The meal, prepared as a potluck by members of the congregations, will include turkey and gravy, stuffing, assorted sides and pies for dessert.

Rides to the church are available for those with no transportation.

Delivery is available for those who cannot leave their homes.

Those who wish to make arrangements may call 203-263-2846.

The groups seek volunteers to help set up on Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning and to assist with clean-up after the event.

Those who wish to help may email Mr. Jarett at woodburyctlions@gmail.com.
