WASHINGTON DEPOT — Shakesperience will conduct performance classes with professional actors for students ages 8 to 12 from Monday, July 29 to Friday, August 2 at River Walk Pavilion.

The classes are supporting Shakespeare in the Litchfield Hills. This interactive community event will culminate in five free outdoor Shakespeare in the Park presentations of “The Comedy of Errors,” produced by Shakesperience Productions, Inc. and featuring professional Equity actors.

Some students may be invited to join the ensemble when the classes are complete.

The project will engage the community with stage building, community discussions, actor instructed classes for young people, post-performance talk packs with the company and more.

There are many volunteer opportunities for all ages. The ensemble includes a publicity team, education interns, backstage crew, ushers, wardrobe crew, and scenic painters and carpenters.

Shakespeare in the Litchfield Hills is sponsored by Connecticut Community Foundation, Valley Spirit Health & Wellness, Washington Supply Company, D.K. Schulman Design, Rumsey Hall School, Litchfield Distillery, Community Table, Minuteman Press, James G. Kelly Law Offices, Friends of Shakesperience in the Litchfield Hills, Connecticut Office of Arts, Byrde & the b, The Owl, Washington Cleaners and the Town of Washington.
