The Litchfield Land Trust will host a Sunset Party from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, August 30, at Bunnel Farm, 498 Maple St., Litchfield. The event will highlight conservation efforts to preserve and steward Litchfield’s heritage and landscape. It will offer beer, wine, food and music. The Bunnell Farm represents one of the town’s long-standing family farms.Established circa 1860 as a dairy farm, it has been continuously worked and husbanded, maintaining its agricultural hold. It is believed to be the oldest continuously owned and operated family farm in Litchfield.

Rick and Helen Bunnell’s farm hosts a fall corn maze, raises and sells fresh turkey, offers hayrides and grows pumpkins and corn. Those seeking additional information may contact 860-361-9310 or
