Brian Q. Torff and New Duke will perform a free jazz concert at 4 p.m. Sunday, June 23, at the Brookfield Library, 182 Whisconier Rd., Brookfield. There will be ice cream available from 3:30 to 4 p.m. Weather permitting, the concert will be on the North Lawn. In the event of rain, excessive heat or humidity, the concert will be in the library’s Community Room. the library asks those in attendance bring lawn chairs or blankets.

 New Duke is an eight-piece band inspired by the music of Duke Ellington. It is comprised of bassist and harmonica player Mr. Torff, vocalist Darryl Tookes, tenor and baritone sax player Ken Gioffre, alto sax and flute player Rick Sadlon, trumpeter Freddie Maxwell, trombonist John Fumasoli, keyboardist Darren Litzie and drummer Greg Burrows.
