Tickets can be purchased for $10 each at the Bridgewater Volunteer Fire Department, Bridgewater Convenience Store (Mobile), Bridgewater Town Hall, Bridgewater Senior Center or the Burnham Library, as well as at the Bridgewater Fair from Friday, August 19m through Sunday, August 21.

The Bridgewater Fair is one of the leading agricultural fairs, showcasing the charm and heart of Bridgewater. More than 30,000 people attend in during the three days.

The first Bridgewater Country Fair was held in 1952, with the raffle added in 1956, after the 1955 hurricane and flood shut down the fair that year.

The raffle was started in 1956 by Walter Von Egidy of Bridgewater, to help raise money for the fire department, just in case the weather created problems during fair weekend.

Throughout the past 69 years, the Bridgewater Fair and Raffle have been the main sources of revenue for the BVFD.
