Newtown: SCAN Offers Plein Air Workshop

“Garden Tapestry,” is a watercolor by Diane Debreuil. She will lead a two-day Plein Air Painting Workshop for oil or watercolor from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday and Friday, October 17 and 18, in the Newtown Meeting House, 31 Main St., Newtown.

NEWTOWN — The Society of Creative Arts of Newtown will offer a two-day Plein Air Painting Workshop for oil or watercolor with award-winning artist Diane Dubreuil from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday and Friday, October 17 and 18, in the Newtown Meeting House, 31 Main St.

Ms. Dubreuil works as a commercial artist and teaches drawing and painting classes at schools and regional arts organizations.

She is a signature member of the International Plein Air Painters.

The fee is $100 for SCAN members or $130 for non-members.

Registration is available by sending a check to: SCAN, P.O. Box 41, Newtown 06470.

Those who would like to attend are asked to indicate name, address, phone, e-mail and Plein Air Workshop on the check.

Registration is complete with payment.
