WATERTOWN - After a season unlike any other in 2020, Watertown High School girls’ soccer coach Melissa Ciarlo is really, really looking forward to a normal season in 2021.

“Oh yes, that would be huge, because we as team and ther program as a whole are looking forward to a successful season, and have our eyes on both an NVL Championship and berth in the CIAC State Tournament,” said Ciarlo.

Ciarlo’s team’s chances are boosted by the return of  several seniors who will play key role’sw in the team’s success this fall.

Among the leaders will be seniors Madison Mancini, Kristina Kyle, Adilan Jusufi, Emma Geise, Olivia Eshoo, Torri Distefano, Kara Davidson, Paige Daigneault, Alivia Brophy, and Makayla Beauty.

The team will be led by three captains who have each been varsity team members since the start of their career at WHS: Emma Geise, Madison Mancini, and Torri Distefano.

“We will also be returning several juniors and sophomores, as well as a large freshman class who will each be instrumental in the team’s success,” said Ciarlo.
