BOYS RALLY

PAST GILBERT

The Golden Bear boys team regained their winning form at Black Rock State Park against Gilbert and Litchfield on September 24.

The Bears ran their best race of the season and needed every bit of the big effort to squeak past a strong Gilbert team.

Midway through the race Gilbert had a comfortable 25-30 lead but then the local runners made their move.

First, freshman Connor Foss surged past two Gilbert runners to improve his place from eleventh to eighth, bringing the Bears to within one point.

With about a quarter of a mile to go, junior Keegan Daigle overtook Gilbert’s number three runner to put his team into a lead that was never relinquished, as the Bears improved to 4-2 on the season.
