THOMASTON - The fourth annual Dental Dash 5k road race will be held on Sunday, September 8 at Nystrom’s Park in Thomaston, race director Jenifer Mancini announced.

“The race, as has in the past, will begin at 9 a.m.,” said Mancini of the 3.1-mile run through the surrounding roads.

“This will be a timed event and there will be awards given as well,” said Ms. Mancini; number and race t-shirt pick-up will be the morning of the race.

“We will have food and refreshments after the race,” said Ms. Mancnin, who added, “Same-day registration will start at 8 a.m. and there will be raffles as well.”

All proceeds support the ADHA-CTs ongoing efforts.

ADHA-CT, also known as the American Dental Hygienists’ Association Connecticut is a non-profit organization composed of dental hygienists across the state.

“We provide support to all our members as well as act as a source of information for all dental professionals, “ said Ms. Mancini. “We utilize our fundraising efforts to offer scholarships to dental hygiene students throughout the state, we volunteer our time in the communities, donate dental supplies to surrounding agencies, promote good oral health for good overall health.

“We provide continuing education courses to our members on the new dental/ medical information as it is available to provide the best care to our patients,” said Ms. Mancini.
