To the Editor:
As the 2021 golf season at Crestbrook Park nears an end, we the 80 members of the Crestbrook Retirees Golf League wish to extend a special thanks to course superintendent Ray Marks and his small but dedicated crew for keeping the course in great shape and open for but a handful of days this season.
This in spite of abnormal weather conditions where we experienced nearly 12” of rain above our normal average.
Restoration of the sand traps was a particular challenge as they were frequently getting washed out. It is hard to believe that this understaffed crew was able to maintain and keep this beautiful park in the shape that they did.
Hopefully they get the help they need in the near future, but in the meantime kudos for a job well done.
