To the Editor:

The Watertown-Oakville Veterans Council would like to thank the Watertown Town Council, VFW Post 7310 Past Commander Richard DiFederico, and state Rep. Joe Polletta for all their work on naming the new foot bridge on the greenway after our brave veterans of the Korean War.

The Veterans Council is in the process of ordering appropriate plaques and other items and look forward to a dedication ceremony in the not too distant future.

The official name will be the Korean War Memorial Bridge. Again, I would like to thank all those involved in getting this approved, and for your support as always for all the veterans in our community.
