READY TO SHUFFLE

Eager runners and walkers await the call to the starting line at Polk School in Oakville before the resumption of the Shamrock Shuffle Road Race, known as the ‘Shamrock Sizzler’ this year after being delayed to August 21 from its normal mid-March date. Close to 200 runners and walkers from around the state took part in the event, which saw Sean Parker of Bridgewater win the men’s division and Bethany Ottowitz of Watertown taking the women’s top spot. More photos and the story in the sports section. (Dreher photo)
