The Watertown Land Trust hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday, October 17, at its newly acquired 24-acre property, Franson Farmland, on Plungis Road in Watertown. The land was purchased from the Slason/Franson family. Taking part in the ceremony were (from left) Howard Franson, Dick Wick, a charter member of the land trust; Gail Sangree, ex-officio of the land trust; Shelley Hedburg, executor of the Slason estate, and Bill Hedburg. The ceremony took place overlooking the Gustafson Farm and Peck Swamp.
