WATERTOWN — The Watertown Board of Education invites the community to participate in the search process for a new superintendent of schools.

During the weeks of October 12 and October 19, Dr. Mary Broderick, the CABE Search Services Consultant working with the Watertown Search Committee, will conduct a series of focus groups via Zoom to hear from the community on the qualities, experiences and characteristics desired in a new leader.

The education board encourages town officials, business leaders, teachers, administrators, staff, parents, students, and community members to participate.

In addition, an anonymous survey, with a response deadline of October 23 is available at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/WatertownSuptSearch.

Feedback from the focus groups and surveys will be incorporated into a leadership profile that will guide the board in identifying high-quality candidates who best fit the needs of the district and the town.

The board expects to accept the profile at its November 9 meeting.

Invitations to the Zoom meetings may be reserved by contacting Dr. Broderick at mbroderick.cabesearch@cabe.org or 860-608-1763.
