WATERTOWN — Salvatore S. Faraci, 91, of Buckingham Street, died Tuesday, December 31, 2019, at his home.

Mr. Faraci was born July 23, 1928 in Waterbury, the son of the late Sebastiano and Antoinetta (Valenti) Faraci. He was a graduate of Leavenworth High School in Waterbury and was a Waterbury firefighter until his retirement.

He was a member of the Waterbury Sportsman’s Club and the Hill Street Social Club. He enjoyed golfing and trips to the casino, but his favorite thing to do was spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mr. Faraci is survived by two sons, William Faraci and his wife, Gloria, of Watertown and Christian Faraci of Watertown; a daughter, Leah Faraci-Pineau and her husband, Robert, of Watertown; two brothers, John Faraci and his wife, Shirley, of Waterbury and Joseph Faraci and his wife, Dina, of Plainville; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was predeceased by two sons, Cesar “Jerry” Faraci and Salvatore Faraci; a brother, Cesar Faraci; and two sisters, Frances Poidamoni and Theresa Vacarelli.

A memorial service took place January 6 at Hickcox Funeral Home, 195 Main St. Burial is private and at the convenience of the family.
